Well, I’ve finally got my new blog set up. It’s not quite the finished product but it will definitely become a bit more polished as time goes on. The honour of the first post goes to Jodi and Craig who are due to get married in September at Hallgarth Manor Hotel, situated in Pittington, just 3 miles from Durham in the Northeast of England. Alison and I are looking forward to going back to Hallgarth Manor but in the meantime, here are a few images from Jodi and Craig’s pre-wedding photoshoot in Houghton-le-Spring.

The photos are all at or around the Seven Sisters at Copt Hill. The site is listed by English Heritage as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, and is a pre-historic burial mound first excavated in 1877 but excavations as recently as 2004 now suggest that it may date from the Mesolithic period (8500 to 4000BC).

In the meantime, if you’d like to see more of our photography, please keep an eye out for our upcoming posts and also pop across to our website at www.martinkerphotography.com
